Dreams Las Mareas Costa Rica

This resort was my first experience in an all inclusive, and I must say I loved every aspect of the experience. The remote jungle beach location was phenomenal. The drive there did take a couple hours, but you were able to see the countryside and volcanoes along the way. It added to the experience, not to have a bunch of other resorts and beaches close by. There was a lot of wildlife, including monkeys, beautiful landscaping, beautiful pools, and a wide variety of restaurants with food that would suit anyone’s taste, My personal favorite restaurant was the French bistro. A bit of a hidden gem because it’s not on the app. The resort is built into the side of a mountain, so make sure you bring comfortable shoes and plan to do a bit of a calf workout going from your room to the beach, especially if you’re in one of the upper buildings. We stayed in building six, which is near the back of the resort with a swim out suite. I enjoyed the privacy of our swim out suite the only downfall were our nightly raccoon visitors hanging out around the patio. They were surprisingly chatty in the wee hours of the morning. I know this resort is closing soon temporarily to become a Marriott. Perhaps there could be some upgrades to be made if you look closely, but all in all I had a wonderful experience it would not nitpick small cosmetic details here and there.

My family and I absolutely loved this resort — it was nothing short of amazing, especially with the Premier Club perks! 😜 The food was outstanding for an all-inclusive, and everything from the service and atmosphere to the spacious rooms (complete with a hot tub on the balcony!) had a few hiccups with the cleanliness of the room but they got on it, exceeded our expectations. The pool was expansive, the entertainment and nightlife were great, and watching the monkeys right from our balcony was truly breathtaking. My children was up every morning at the crack of dawn to greet the monkeys when they came out. They absolutely loved it. We have no complaints at all and had a phenomenal vacation at Dreams Las Mareas.

Nice all-inclusive resort in northwest Costa Rica. Food choices were good and quality was good. Lots of beverage options available at all restaurants and bars. Pools were nice and the was direct access to the beach and ocean on property. Rooms were nice and staff was very friendly and helpful. Cool to have monkeys in the trees and climbing on to some of the terraces. Definitely a family oriented resort, but with a few areas adult only. If you are looking for an adult only resort visit the sister location to this called "secrets". Overall a fun time!
