My family vacation was absolutely amazing! I could not believe how friendly the entire staff was. From all staff at the Cafe', pool staff, etc. (especially Victor who took great care of us for two days when we had a cabana) Make sure you ask for him! I loved how kid friendly it was, which is why we went. Our maid for our room did a great job with having two little children and got a little messy, we always came back to a nice clean room. Beds made, fresh towels, anything we needed was just a phone call away too. They had events each night, which was a perfect way to unwind for the night with the kids. (Fire shows, circus, and magic show we attended). Even have a kids play area where you drop of the kids so Mom and Dad can explore, grab a bite to eat, etc. They give you a buzzer like they do at restaurants and when your kids are done playing they buzz you to get them. Arcade area is nice to for the kids to play. The gym was pretty good, it is what it is when traveling, but you still can get in a great workout with limited equipment. Plenty of cardio equipment. I recommended going early as you can since it does get busy first thing in the morning. Breakfast at the Cafe' was spectacular. Omelets are very good and the cook was great! Plus other great options for breakfast food. We will definitely be back or go to one of their other resorts!
We had an incredible time at Dreams! The staff was incredibly friendly and provided exceptional service. A special shoutout to Sergio and Jonathan—they were absolutely amazing! The rooms were decent, but I highly recommend getting an ocean view room. It’s worth the extra cost. The food was okay, not bad, but definitely could be improved. The atmosphere was great, but the entertainment options could be better. Having a live DJ at the pool or playing music would be a welcome addition. On a positive note, they made sure we didn’t miss home during the 4th of July experience. That was a nice touch! Overall, we had an amazing time and will definitely be returning!
I’m not one to make negative reviews on places, but after being to other all-inclusive resorts in Mexico I know our experience at this one is not the norm. We only stayed 3 days and that was more than enough, we will not be back to this one. Food: is terrible! At the trips to the buffet we were served meat that was raw inside and most items were cold and rubbery. The restaurants pay no mind to food allergies, even though they ask for allergies before being seated. The restaurants also have stray cats walking around in them. Room service takes an hour to come, then the order is inaccurate and cold when it arrives. I ordered a caesar salad that arrived warmer than the “hot” items we ordered and it had a soggy french fry mixed in. Bars: the glasses don’t get washed, just rinsed and thrown in a tub of water until it is reused. On several occasions we received drinks with debris on the rim or side of the glass. Room: there is no privacy between the bed and the bathroom. Shutters are what divides the 2 and the wall is open by the tub, so if you turn the bathroom light on at night it wakes up everyone in the room. Also, there was a piece of glass on the floor in our room that I stepped on and sliced my foot open. We had a towel that had to have been sitting in the room a while because it was dirty. Bed is very firm and walls are thin so you hear everything going on outside and in the neighboring rooms. Pools: look nice, but we had our own plunge pool so we didn’t utilize the public ones after someone pooped in the infinity pool. The plunge pool doesn’t get cleaned much because the bottom was full of sand and other debris. Hidden gem of the resort: coco cafe. The ice cream and frozen drinks are delicious! I wish we had started going here on day 1.
