Du sila Hotel Kohchang

I really enjoyed my recent stay here. The hotel is a charming little affordable budget hotel, which is in a great location on white sands beach. The rooms are a decent size and very comfortable. You can access Netflix, Amazon prime, and you tube from the tv. Good shower, and you get a balcony, which is great for us smokers. They also have a pretty little swimming pool outside. The girl at reception can organize motorcycles or taxis. I opted not to rent a motorcycle, because everything I needed was in walking distance. There are 7/11s, souvenir shops, massage parlors, travel agents, and plenty of bars and restaurants. The public walkway to the beach is just a 5 minute walk down the road, where you’ll find the beautiful white sands beach, which is also full of bars and restaurants. I did however order two taxis from the girl at reception, one for a return trip to Klong Plu waterfall, and a taxi to Pattaya, when I was leaving. Her prices were very cheap, a lot cheaper than trying to get a taxi from the road.

This hotel has recently reopened post Covid-19. The front desk service was incredible. She was extremely kind and always greeted me by name, and with a big smile. The rooms are quite basic but are very spacious and some include a nice patio. The pool area was clean and well kept during my stay. Overall for the current price you will not find a better value in White Sand Beach. Would definitely stay again.

Unfortunately our stay here was quite disappointing. The rooms are big but very old, dirty and poor maintained. In general the hotel looked understaffed, only 1 receptionist which meant that half the time there was no one there to assist. The bike that we rented from there, with a more expensive price than their own brochure, was very old and poorly serviced. We found much better bikes nearby while also being cheaper. We also had issues with the laundry service, some clothes were ruined due to the use of bleach. Swimming pool was not cleaned at all, there was also no one swimming there during our 5 day stay. In general this was the worst hotel experience of our vacation in Trat islands.
