Beautiful big room. Fabulously comfortable bed! Lovely location. If I'm brutally honest, I've had better food for the price. I didn't have breakfast. Very pleasant staff. Good bar prices. I really appreciated the provision of a fan in the very hot weather.

Lovely restaurant and hotel. My daughter had a magical time playing in the “secret garden” and didn’t want to leave. Food was good. We’re American, so the lack of A/C was kind of rough, but my husband noticed in the morning that there was a fan in the wardrobe. Everything was quite nice and we really enjoyed it. Breakfast was delicious.

A family celebration at this local venue today. I’m unsure what went wrong first. The septic tank emitted strong odours across the otherwise inviting garden area. The service was lackadaisical and couldn’t have been less interested (except for one member of staff who was exceptional). The food was as dismal as the service; with the mackerel being as pungently whiffy as to make one doubt the wish of eating it. The replacement soup was salty and tasteless. The giant couscous arrived in such quantity that could have been a serving portion for four persons and yet was bland, tasteless and with minuscule quantities of roasted vegetables. Trying to salvage a semblance of enjoyment for the special family celebration it should have been, we moved from indoors out into the garden and sunshine to escape the bluebottles which had pestered and intruded into our meal time. The coffee and gelato was served promptly and with kind courtesy in contrast to the first course offering. The other guests were charming and friendly which made up in good measure for what was an expensive and disappointing meal of £150 for four adults and two children eating a modest selection from the menu.
