Dukes London

We stayed at the Dukes Hotel with our sons to celebrate Christmas, and had the best time. The staff’s hospitality was wonderful, and our boys really were blown away by what they did to make our stay special... Christmas cookies in the room, tea service. Each morning when we left to explore London, the staff took interest in what we were up to for the day. The boys were excited to return and tell them about our day. The bar is delightful and cozy and lives up to the hype. The tea is delicious. We really had the best time with the Dukes Hotel as our homebase to explore London at Christmastime!

My husband and i spent 3 lovely days in this beautiful hotel just before Xmas. We loved it! We were very lucky to visit the famous bar a couple of times and enjoy the fantastic martini, it is truly outstanding! Both the hotel and bar staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. We are planning to come back in November, hopefully the refurbishment work going on at the moment will be completed, i'm looking forward to seeing the improvements!

I've lived in London for more than 20 years, Duke's used to be an institution. A martini in the bar was en essential London moment. Visiting with friends from LA last weekend, I found the experience flat, charmless, over priced (£27.50 for a martini, are we serious?) and the staff disdainful and rude. Hopefully the renovations will rid this one time lovely bar of the rotten and dead wood. There's nothing special here now. It all feels decidedly "Leicester Sq".
