Dumont NYC an Affinia hotel

This is such a sweet spot with world class customer service. I have stayed at 4 Seasons Hotels and this Hotel did it better. The location in midtown is very centrally located and small, ethnic restaurants are chock a block on 9th Avenue. You enter into an inviting lobby(especially on a wintry night with a fire blazing in the fireplace), which is the place for the free breakfast and a generous wine/alcohol/cheese & crackers happy hour. My room was serene, quiet and clean. The bath is large and also very clean. The BEST thing about the place is the customer service. I felt so welcomed and catered to. SUSAN and her wonderful staff are so accommodating and full of suggestions. There were great restaurant recommendations, news about museum exhibits as well as discounts for Broadway plays. This is an awesome hotel, deserving of the praise they have been given.

This is a great hotel, and was the least expensive hotel I could find of comparable star rating in that neighborhood. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Room was twice the size I expected, plus full kitchen. Mini-bar was very well stocked and reasonably priced. Everything was immaculately clean. Bed was very comfortable. Large desk with real task chair makes for a great place to get some work done. I will definitely return to the Affinia Dumont.

Staff is very nice. We have a sweet on the 22 floor. Room is cleaned well but not the best in terms of maintenance. Frig hums, heater is a little noisy. One line is burned out and the bathroom needs some touching up. One thing though, the view is amazing! WE have a corner room, and my goodness, it is awesome. The location of the hotel is nice. Quick access to the green line. I would stay again. I gave it 3 stars because u think the room needs more work. It is a nice suite for the price, but for the price, the simple things, that are cosmetic, leave no room for excuse.
