We stayed here for 3 days. It's a lovely place, the staff are very pleasant and friendly & the rooms are a slice of old world England. The grounds are beautiful & strolling around them in the evening was a real treat for me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a a quiet peaceful getaway.
It was a mother's day treat afternoon tea and treat from my daughter. We had such a wonderful day food was amazing we told them prior to visit we didn't like salmon and they sorted out some different filling instead. Very attentive nothing was too much plenty of tea nearly drowned 😂😂. But no on serious note been many times and every time it was a wonderful experience definitely recommend and have. Lovely staff amazing building and setting the grounds are beautiful.
Bit of an odd experience.... Lovely old building full of character... Room lovely and spotlessly clean... Superb bed. Tiny bathroom with a toilet I had to fix in middle of night as it was constantly flushing. But was surprised when we enquired about having a drink in the bar.... The receptionist seemed surprised we were asking.... And instead directed us to the bar on the on site restaurant. Not the vibe we wanted.... We wanted a quiet drink in hotel... Not on a noisy restaurant. Overall dissapointed....and surprised this place is rated 4 star.
