Our recent stay was fantastic. 1st of all, the location was ideal. Situated between the Gothic and El Born sector, this hotel faces the marina and is a quick 10 min walk from Barceloneta. The area is stacked with restaurants, bars, markets, etc. We stayed in a family room, meaning, a king bed + 2 single beds. The layout is very functional, and I must say the apartment/room was stacked and fully equipped. Dozens of coffee pods, double water bottles and all the needed kitchen gear you need. Speaking of the kitchen, all of the appliances are brand new (Bosch): stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge. Bedding was very comfortable and the pillows too. Our room was on the 1st floor facing the busy avenue. At first, I thought the noise may be an issue, but this was far from being the case. The windows are very well isolated and soundproof. This is key since there are so many bikes, ambulances and police that pass by. Check in process was a breeze and the kids liked the little candy jars so self serve, the ‘kids’ also include me. The rooftop offers a great view and extends your day while you sip on a drink or 3. The only negative feedback, if I must, when we went up on the terrasse, the bar attendant was away, and we waited over 45 min for him to show up. Despite gone down to the lobby and requesting an ETA on the bar attendant, the answer we were provided was ‘’he’s on break’’. Hospitality customer service 101: attend to the clients’ needs. I would have expected for the person at to lobby to radio in the barman or head up themselves to serve us, we were only 2 guests on the terrasse at that time. Checkout process was super easy and once again, the kids enjoyed the self-serve candy. So, did I. I must give a shoutout to the desk clerk who called a cab for us as we were heading to the El Prat. Despite the wait, she followed up and went outside to flag the arriving cab. Nice touch (she was there on the morning of the 29th Aug.) Pivotal question: would we return to this hotel? Absolutely. To my fellow travellers, book in confidence, this place is the real deal.
Very centrally located. It was a bit pricey but wroth the convenience. I had a suite that had a view, an amazing view. I would do it all again for a cheaper price though. The live music at the roof top bar really put this hotel over the bar!
Very disappointing experience. I made a reservation at this hotel through an official booking platform (Booking.com), with a confirmed price and all details correctly entered. A few days later, my reservation was unilaterally canceled, with the excuse that there had been a “pricing error.” This practice is unacceptable and unprofessional. The hotel should have honored the reservation and the price it had publicly listed. Instead, they canceled it arbitrarily. Such behavior shows a lack of reliability and complete disregard for the customer. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of hotels that respect their commitments and value their guests — unfortunately, this is not one of them.
