The night receptionist was great on Thursday, 29th May, when we arrived. The hotel was nice and quiet. The beds were set up incorrectly to begin with, and we had to separate them ourselves. Breakfast was good & there was a great selection. It was great value for what we paid.
Despote the room was nice, we found that it's in fact really noisy. Woke up at 7am every morning, definitely not what I expect for vacation. The curtains don't cover all the window so if the noise doesn't wake you, the light will do. The breakfast is fine, there is a lot of choice for English breakfast lovers. The hotel is ideally located for a short stay.
I stayed at this hotel two years ago and decided to return — but I was shocked at how much the service has deteriorated in just two years. Just look at the iron they brought me so I could prepare my clothes for an important event I came to Prague for — rusty water was leaking from it. The receptionist was constantly scrolling through social media and didn’t even acknowledge me until I approached her first. I asked to speak with the manager, but was told that the manager doesn’t communicate with guests. I won’t be staying here again.
