Myself and my husband have just returned from the most amazing 4 night stay at EALA. It is the most beautiful hotel in the most stunning location imaginable. The service was outstanding from start to finish and the room was kept beautifully clean throughout, not to mention having the most amazing views. The spa and pool area were both immaculate too (albeit the gym equipment was limited and could benefit from offering further choice, particularly for the free weights The aesthetics seemed to outweigh the functionality here). We ate in the bistro and the grill and both were delicious. The only negative we would give for our entire stay was that the prices for the drinks in particular were extortionate. We are from England and the prices exceeded what we would even expect to pay for London prices. As a result we ended up eating in Limone for the majority of our stay. I would also suggest that the options to order for the breakfast were fairly limited. For such a high price that you pay for the hotel, I would expect options like pancakes to be included and not to have to pay extra for these. Other than this, I don’t have a bad word to say about the hotel. It will stay in our minds as one of our most memorable holidays we have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
This place definitely deserves its tagline of ‘a lakeside dream’. There are amazing views from every area of the hotel, the staff are lovely and the spa is amazing. Housekeeping is a high standard and everything is pristine. Sustainability does seem lacking, I got a new robe every day and towels were replaced once (or even twice) a day. The lights are a bit complicated and I was glad I brought an eye mask as the toilet had a motion detector light, which could be annoying at night. The comfy bed, amazing outlook and all round quality of the space was great. The main restaurant does a really nice breakfast and has everything you could want. The staff are great and having seen how hard they work amazingly positive and friendly every day. Shout out to Riccardo, Jeancarlo and the wonderful Victoria for making everything so special. A special shout-out to Elmer who brought 100% positive energy, you could probably power a small city off him. There is a beautiful outdoor infinity pool, with loads of lounges, you can also lie by the lake and at a few spots on the way down. Take stairs down and there’s also a large indoor pool with views over the lake. Next door is possibly the most epic spa I’ve ever been in. There’s a Finnish sauna overlooking the lake, plus an other at a slightly higher temperature, there’s an ice room, a steam room, multiple showers offering different temperatures and effects, a cold and warm bath and an enormous grotto space with a jacuzzi. I loved it all! There’s a shuttle into Limone, the drivers are also all really nice, Claudio and Oswaldo were stand outs for us. So if you can pull yourself away from the hotel, it’ll be easy to get back. I think anyone would love this place, we were just having a European adventure, but I think if you were considering here for a honeymoon it would be an ideal location.
Beautiful location and clean modern hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel, I dropped off my car and let the valet handle the luggage. I then entered the hotel to check in. They informed me that the check-in process would take some time, so they offered me a complimentary drink. They then escorted me to a beautiful outdoor seating area with stunning views. I ordered a drink and waited for them to inform me that the check-in was complete. After about an hour, I decided to approach them to inquire about the status of my check-in. However, the lady informed me that she was waiting for me to return, and she never came to collect me, claiming that she had completed the check-in. Pay at check in must be in full, which is not expected as most hotels as you pay when checking out. The room was beautiful but above sounded like somebody was stomping around and moving furniture 24/7 all through the night. The hallway music was on so loud past 11:30pm. It also started really early in the morning. Had to call reception one evening as it was so loud past midnight. (Louder than it normally was) For a modern hotel with smart tvs there is no Netflix, Hulu, Amazon prime if you want to wind down after a long day. They offer YouTube and Spotify. No heat in the rooms - room temperature was at 55 degrees and when I called reception to see what I did wrong with turning up the heat they said after May it’s one or the other for all rooms, so they have it on AC no heat. No sunscreen in pool area, locker room or even at the spa to purchase. Typically hotels will provide sunscreen in the locker room or at least have it for sale and they didn’t. The breakfast buffet was great besides the fruit was mushy in some sort of juice or water as it may have been sitting a while. I visited the pool as they had mentioned it was open until 8 pm. However, upon my arrival, I discovered that they were closing it at 6:45 pm. I expressed my surprise, and they clarified that the closing time was 7 pm. They also inquired if reception had informed me of the 8 pm opening time. Additionally, the pool staff informed me that the pool didn’t open until 11 am or whenever they felt like it. Drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and snacks at the pool bar doesn’t open until noon. No hot water the first day. I had something booked and wanted to shower before leaving but there was no hot wafted and when calling reception they said another room called but they didn’t know it was more than that room and it would be an hour to be fixed. I got back at 10PM and there was still no hot water. The beach grill appeared open, and I noticed them setting up. However, when I inquired, the worker informed me that it wouldn’t be open until May 23. I assumed it was adults only because it says adult friendly however there were several kids at the hotel.
