Eccleston Square Hotel

Room was quite hot. Had to open French windows but was on first floor so did not feel safe leaving them open to the terrace all night. Bed was harder than I like. Otherwise good room. Slightly over equipped with gadgets but ability to use your own apps on tv is handy. Very convenient for exploring and decent food served late on room service. Breakfast not great for £20. Worth strolling out to cafes. Helpful staff. Good value for area.

Quite disappointed by the Eccleston Square Hotel. Starting with the few positive points: the room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the location is great. Now the negatives: I booked a room that was supposed to have a patio which was not available. The rooms are getting old and there is a clear lack maintenance (rust and broken bathroom drawer). There is zero storage space to empty your suitcase. And the worst: THERE IS NO KITCHEN! Besides the unsatisfying breakfast buffet (very stale bread and cereals), everything you order on the menu is delivered by Uber Eats, through the back door! I ordered salmon toasts which arrived cold and were served to me in their delivery plastic box. Pretty crazy for a 5 stars hotel!!!

Worst hotel experience ever! And I’m not even talking about small things like lack of cleanliness, weird blinking buttons at night and poorly designed rooms. One major issue - cooling and heating of the rooms! We changed rooms and the issue persisted, which means it’s a systemic problem. Regardless of what temperature you set, it goes to either super cold (62 Fahrenheit or 17 Celsius), or you turn the system off and it heats up to a sauna. Terrible stay.
