We have been returning here for 5 years. Perfectly clean and excellent food. The renovation is modern and elegant, sauna great after a long day on the slopes
Nice hotel with comfortable rooms and a beautiful view of the lake. A food there is a must. The cook is a real artist. Sauna area is small and nice
Beautiful new hotel at beautiful Lake Resia. Check-in and service were friendly and over the duration of our stay grew warmer by the day. The owner was kind to help us finding suitable hiking routes and every morning asked us how we were enjoying our stay. The location of the hotel is great just a few meters up from the north tip of lake Resia with the drawback that it's right at the busy main road connecting Austria to this part of Italy and that goes further to Merano and onwards. If you leave the balcony door closed the insolation will keep the noise out. If you're like us and need to sleep with open doors just bring some eat plugs. Room and amenities were great. Or room was huge, seemed very new and clean. The bed was massive and super comfortable and the room was set with a big TV (incl. many international channels) and a big enough safety box. Our balcony overlooked the lake and made for a nice spot to chill and enjoy the view. There's a spa area on the ground floor with a sauna overlooking through a big window onto a beautiful meadow. They gave a steam bath too, which is just the right thing after a long day hiking. Breakfast is nice with a sufficient selection which actually doesn't change a lot over the days. The dinner however was fabulous. The son of the owners learned to cook at some famous restaurants and treats the guests here for a delicious four course fine dining menu each night. Opened with bread & spread, antipasti and finished with a cheese medley. Fantastic. Only downside was that the hotel guests dine in the breakfast area, just next to restaurant (reservations only). The seating is not bad at all, the tables are just quite close together so you can here your neighbors' discussion, which resulted in everyone talking very silently and giving it all a slightly odd atmosphere. However after the second day we got used to it, ordered some wine and just enjoyed ourselves. Very nice place here if you want to go hiking, kite surfing etc or just enjoy the scenery. Good luck and thanks for a lovely stay.
