To anyone considering booking a stay at Edera Spa, think twice or even three times before making a reservation. The hosts are extremely dishonest and will do everything possible to keep your deposit. Since December 2024, they have unjustly held on to our €500 deposit, making excuse after excuse to avoid returning it. It is clear that their main objective is to keep as much money as possible from their guests, and are willing to ruin guest experiences as a result. When we tried to dispute this, the owner was incredibly rude and dismissive, showing no interest in resolving the issue fairly. I had never experienced behaviour like this from a supposed professional establishment. During our 1 night stay we respected the property and left it in the same condition that it had been found in. However, the host falsely accused us of taking drinks from their fridge – which we never even opened nor looked at! In addition, we were accused of losing the key which had been placed in a safe location just before our checkout. PLEASE BE AWARE of the dishonest tactics they will use to justify holding on to your deposits. The place itself is far from relaxing. The hot tub was overloaded with chlorine, to the point that it burned our eyes, which is a serious health hazard, running a high risk of chlorine poisoning. The building also has no windows, no natural sunlight, and no fresh air, as the exterior is completely boarded up. The atmosphere is suffocating, far from the luxury experience they advertise. If you find yourself in a similar situation with your deposit (which hopefully you would have paid by credit card), do not waste time arguing with them—go straight to your bank for a chargeback. We are escalating this matter with Booking.com UK customer services, as the French branch has failed to intervene in this dispute effectively. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this place!

The place is very well appointed and comfortable. However, our experience was marred by the owner's decision to cash our deposit after the mysterious disappearance of a key that we are sure we left behind when we left. Despite our attempts to find a solution together, the owner would not listen and preferred to take the easy way out. We are not sure that changing the door was worth the cost of the deposit collected (a classic bedroom door). We have also been accused of having consumed beauty products, which is completely false. In short, what a shame!!

Accommodation rented for €300/night with the promise of "high-end hotel service." In reality: bed advertised as king-size but actually a 160cm bed with worn springs, sticky floor, wrinkled sheets, shrunken bathrobe, broken TV, damp walls, no dishcloths or hand towels, almost non-existent ventilation. Jacuzzi foaming like a washing machine: I was told "this is normal." No general rental conditions, no inventory of fixtures upon arrival or departure. After the stay, the landlord accused me of invisible damage (plate + drain pipe). To keep my deposit! After a registered letter, he finally said a plumber came and that "it was less serious than expected," and the part was replaced for €0. The infamous plate? Never mentioned again. And the icing on the cake: a sign in the apartment asking me to leave with my own trash bags. Poor service, questionable hygiene, and dishonest communication. Move on.
