Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort by Resort Collection

Great stay here at Edgewater with the family. Parking spots are tight for larger vehicles and at night hard to come by but you will eventually find one you can fit in. Pools open till ten and people do take advantage of this perk as you should. Large pool during the day is great as a dj comes in around 2 pm and it’s a great time. All in all it was a good experience but the rooms are just a tad older and ours did not have a ceiling fan which we felt it needed and balconies were a tad small.

So let us start by saying we would absolutely stay here again. Location is great, atmosphere is awesome, plenty to do near by. We rented a condo with southern vacations, first less than 24hrs before our trip they told us they had to move us due to water damage in our condo, now although i understand this is not their fault its also not ours, they wanted to charge us an extra 150 bucks which we fought and eventually they agreed to relocate us and waive the fee. The shower was broken off the wall, the bath had a rail missing which left one side with a hole and the other with a rusty metal cover. The bed was broken, like you sat on the bed and you just fell into it, you layed on it it rolled you into the middle (luckily there were other beds to choose from) the sofa had stains on it. The location is great and its a beautiful location to stay, i would just recommend not using souther vacation rentals when you book up.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! COCKROACH MOTEL!!!! Edgewater had gone way down hill in the last 5-7 years. I’d say it’s a management change and they don’t give a shit about the paying customer. It’s a money game now and not about the stay at all. Most of the condos are privately owned which can be bad and good. Pools are falling apart, pretty dirty, and they have added a bunch of cabanas by the pool and its looks over crowded all the time. Place is pretty expensive for what it is. One elevator per building, with 11 floors. The walk ways to the condos are extreme filthy as are the steps. Elevators are just as disgusting. Pass on the ocean’s restaurant that’s on property too. Way over priced and food is not good. On to the room. Our stay was cut short. I was going to sleep and a giant cockroach was in my bed with me. Needless to say I slept in my car and packed all my stuff the next morning. I’m not paying to stay in a roach hotel. I will update review once resolved by owner to include resolution to the roach issue.
