Efteling Bosrijk

Spent three days here at the end of June 2025. What an amazing place. House was huge. The on site shop doesn’t have a huge selection but handy for basic essentials (milk, bread etc). Incredible pizzas made on site which are delivered to your accommodation by bicycle - VERY tasty and highly recommended. Staff very helpful and (unsurprisingly) English is spoken by all. Swimming pool on site is small and quite noisy and chaotic when busy but was great fun and helped us cool off during the extreme heat at the time. Had an incredible dinner at the Eethuys one night - a set three course experience that was incredible and tasted amazing - although we were charged €7 for table water which we didn’t expect! Not a problem though as the overall experience was so good. Definitely would stay here again - we love the Netherlands and we love Efteling. 🧡

I'm just back and glad we stayed in Bosrijk. Considering how close it is to the park, it's a quiet and peaceful location. It's very expensive but that's because it includes park entry. We weren't in the room much. Checked in late and out early. It was still a great last night to our holiday and so much nicer to splurge and really enjoy the park over 2 days. Efteling could be done in one day when it's quiet, but as soon as it's busy, you benefit from 2 days to get on the rides in a more relaxed way. Biggest credit goes to the Efteling app. It has your digital key that gets you in your room without queuing to check in. My restaurant reservation times were on there, and the app shows your ride queue times and navigates you to the rides telling you time to walk there. Very easy to use. Loved Efteling!

Room was clean and in good condition with lots of nice little extras. No soap in the toilet room and the shower was in a bath with high sides though there was a handrail to assist. Room service was almost 30 minutes past booked time but the pizza was hot and delicious when it arrived. Breakfast has something for everyone but we found the dinner menu limited and expensive for what you got. Character meetings with the owl and Sandman were outstanding. Something mechanical in the hotel made a loud noise on and off throughout the night which wasn’t loud enough to wake but was still there in the background.
