El Avenida Palace Hotel

We stayed two nights at Avenida Palace and loved the experience. The hotel feels like a real palace, with elegant decor and antique-style furniture. It’s perfectly located near major attractions and next to the train station (you might hear trains occasionally, but it didn’t bother us). Breakfast was the most varied and delicious we’ve had in Europe. The staff were kind and welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised to find small treats waiting in our room each day. Only downside: the carpets had a slight odor – but overall, a fantastic stay. Would happily return!

We had the BEST stay at Avenida Palace! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Every single person we encountered was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating - truly one of the nicest hotel teams I’ve ever experienced. The girls upstairs in the bar were fantastic - they made us feel so welcome and served up the best drinks of our trip! The downstairs bar was great too - the drinks were delicious and nice and strong. Our room was spotless every day. The housekeeper was amazing - so kind and helpful and really went out of her way for us. The bell staff was also incredibly helpful - they got us taxis every time we needed one and were always so cheerful about it. I can’t say enough about how clean and beautiful the hotel is - it felt like we were staying in a truly special, upscale place. On our last day, Sergi helped us with our bags and was so kind - another example of how wonderful the service was from start to finish. If you are considering Avenida Palace - stay here! You’ll be so glad you did. We can’t wait to come back.

Awesome convenient location. Lovely monumental building. Staff is very helpful and speedy. Check in was fast, check out even faster. The rooms itself are ok, the doors a bit loud. Connecting family rooms are helpful when traveling with kids.
