El Cortijo

Super nice and relaxing! We spent a month here last spring as a three-generation family vacation. The children had plenty of space in this huge garden (basketball hoop, volleyball net, tennis court, mini golf, pool, large lawn) and could run around freely without us having to worry about the road. The pool was very well maintained and cleaned weekly. We had enough space for everyone (6 people/3 generations) to have their own space and didn't have to hang out on top of each other. Three playgrounds are within a maximum of 10 minutes' walk. The beach and restaurants are also within easy walking distance. The owner (he also speaks very good German) is super accommodating and was immediately available for any questions or needs, helping us quickly and easily. We enjoyed it so much that we returned there again in the winter. Even in winter (up to 18°C during the day), the pool was clean and well-maintained... (I had to take a quick dip on principle.) We were also allowed to help ourselves to the lemons and oranges in the garden. I was able to really switch off from the daily work routine and relax in this idyllic atmosphere. And we're already looking forward to the next time :-)

My aunt and 3 children went on vacation for 3 weeks in May. The holiday home is very spacious...Beautiful furniture...The facilities are complete and fully functional. The garden is a little paradise and the pool is the cherry on top. The beach is easily accessible on foot. The host is very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this chalet at any time.

FINCA EL CORTIJO This is how I imagined paradise. An energy center loaded with good vibes. After a twelve-hour trip and without having slept the night before, I entered the El Cortijo farm at noon and felt revived. I hadn't seen the facility yet and already knew it was the perfect place to spend spring break. I must confess that a few days before the trip I had accidentally seen a photo on Google of the pool all dirty and with very bad recessions, so I immediately contacted the owner and he told me that in winter they put preservatives in the pool but with the beginning of spring they prepared it and that's how it was. We arrived at the beginning of April and it was perfect. We were able to bathe and enjoy all the facilities: trampoline, basketball, badminton, volleyball, minigolf, pool hammocks for sunbathing, hanging hammocks to relax in the shade, covered picnic area with a large table next to the barbecue... The house was very bright with a wonderful, well-equipped kitchen and the owner of the house was like the genie in the bottle willing to grant wishes at all times no matter how absurd they seemed to him. I do need a bigger mixer to make gazpachos, I want more plates and glasses because I'm having a party, a larger and a smaller frying pan, a rope, sandpaper... it didn't matter what we asked for, we now had it in less than half and we only had an extra cost for the additional cleaning service that I requested before and after the parties. During our stay we received several visits from family and friends and almost all of them commented that this farm has something special that encourages joy and relaxation. I recommend El Cortijo to anyone who needs, in addition to relaxing, a shot of energy while being away from the madding crowd and just a 20-minute walk to the beach and the entire tourist center; but especially near the Phoenician temple of Hercules, which I suspect has to do with the positive energy that is breathed in the area.
