El Embajador a Royal Hideaway Hotel

Great hotel with friendly staff!! The pool is great good size but had a very deep end 11', so be careful with the little ones. The drinks were very good, the casino is not too big but not bad for a quick stop. Many restaurants right out side the hotel and large plaza down the street.

I have stayed here twice, and I love staying here for business trips due to its high-class and professional ambiance. When entering the lobby this establishment makes you feel like you're going to accomplish something whether it be a business meeting, public speech, or searching for an investment this place gives you those vibes. Food, bar, pool, staff, rooms are all great. The gym is definitely empty and 24/7 so that is nice as well.

It seems like a very nice hotel but they could have handled canceling my booking in a more professional way. They canceled my booking (which was booked directly with them) while we were traveling to Santo Domingo (almost no notice) citing a 'price error' and then still charged me for the room. Trying to get the refund back, expected it to be handled better considering its a 5 star. You could've honored the booking or provided a voucher or something considering the short notice. You also need to give me my refund.
