A Tranquil Retreat with Breathtaking Views: El Encanto All Inclusive Resort (7.8/10) El Encanto All Inclusive Resort at Hacienda Encantada offers a truly memorable escape to Los Cabos, blending breathtaking natural beauty with a high level of service. For travelers seeking stunning scenery, a quiet atmosphere, and luxurious accommodations, this resort delivers an experience that is very close to perfect, with a few small caveats that keep it from the top tier. The Highs: A Slice of Paradise The views are, without a doubt, the star of the show. Perched on a dramatic clifftop, the resort provides sweeping vistas of the Sea of Cortez that are simply unforgettable. You'll find yourself constantly stopping to take in the panorama, whether from your private balcony, one of the many infinity pools, or a clifftop restaurant. The accommodations themselves are a significant highlight. As an all-suite resort, the rooms are exceptionally spacious, feeling more like a private residence than a hotel room. The thoughtful layout, with separate living areas and kitchenettes, makes for an incredibly comfortable and relaxing stay. The service is another standout feature. From the moment you arrive, the staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to make your trip special. The pool servers and restaurant staff are particularly wonderful, ensuring you're always well taken care of. The "Dine Out" all-inclusive plan is a major perk, allowing you to explore excellent dining options at their sister property down at the Marina, which provides a welcome change of scenery and a taste of downtown Cabo's vibrant energy. The Lows: A Few Minor Quirks While the all-inclusive package is excellent, it has a few small quirks that can be frustrating. The requirement to sign a bill for every drink and meal can feel tedious, especially in a place where you're trying to unwind completely. Additionally, the plan does not cover a few premium items like lobster and certain steaks, which may surprise some guests expecting a truly all-encompassing experience. The resort’s location, while providing those incredible views, means you are a bit removed from the main tourist areas. While the complimentary shuttle service helps, it's something to factor into your plans if you want to explore off-property frequently. Finally, like many resorts in the area, be prepared for a polite but persistent invitation to a timeshare presentation. The Verdict: A Solid 7.8 El Encanto is an outstanding choice for a peaceful, scenic, and service-oriented vacation. It's the ideal spot for a romantic getaway or a family trip where the goal is to relax and recharge. The spacious suites and unparalleled views create a luxury feel that outweighs the minor annoyances of the all-inclusive plan and the resort's distance from town. With a little bit of planning and an awareness of the small limitations, you'll have an experience that is truly enchanting.
TLDR: Decent location. All inclusive but lots of upsell. If there is a problem, management will do very little to resolve it. We came for a birthday. Decided we enjoyed the all inclusive experience at a different Cabo resort. This was so much worse. Hotel check-in included a timeshare and amenities package upsell. Nothing better than paying a lot for all inclusive to find out you don't have access to all amenities but for a price you can. Once we got to our room, we found translucent little bugs all over the kitchen counters. Its not our first time in mexico but surprised to see it at a resort. We paid extra for a suite with a wading pool on the terrace. It was broken and it took several days and visits and scheduling with engineering to get it fixed. Management would not re-imburse or us for this non-working tub and only offered us a free shuttle ride back to the airport (which we declined b/c we pre-paid for a shuttle early). Management made several promises to compensate us and contact us via email but ghosted us completely once we left the property. If you want a relaxing quiet trip, don't come to the El Encanto or Hacienda del Mar (same property). The food is only good about 60% of the time. Inconsistent and the management is not good. The staff were the only positives but they vocally/openly judge and challenge you if you order more than one app and entree per person.
