El Gran Hotel de Pereira

Beautifull old style hotel. In the middle of the center of town. Made in the late 30's and still had the feel of it. Very big rooms and a fantastic shower. Renovated to meet modern standards with fairly good wifi and good Tv service. Good airco and extra service. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Your service, bar etc To make it 5 stars the breakfast should be better and the windows need an upgrade against the traffic noice. All in all we enjoyed our stay a lot, thank you!

Excellent customer service, Very good breakfast, and rooms. My only concern was one night that my wife and me arrived to the hotel and we were almost assaulted by one of the people asking for money in the entrance of the hotel, next to the lobby. My recommendation for the hotel is having a night porter, because at night the are is dangerous, even arriving in taxi.

Hotel has a bit of a royalty feel and amazing architecture, especially the spiral path down to the basement where breakfast is served. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful and addresses your issues promptly and with care. Great location and walking distance to Bolivar Square and Plaza Victoria. Would definitely consider coming back. Some issues to declare: (1) There is not really any hot water (was told to leave water running for 15 mins for hot water but i am not gonna waste water!), although shower area is very spacious. (2) Room with street view gets quite noisy with street traffic noise.
