The place is awesome. The restaurant is ok, their service is top notch. Prices a bit high but you get what you paid for in a good sense. Weather can be a problem though. During winter it rains quite a lot. In the summer should be outstanding.
Had a fantastic stay at the El Lugar resort whilst staying in Sarapiqui. We were here during the rainy season but had some sunny days too . Hotel was not too busy , staff very friendly and attentive to us. Very good breakfast and also enjoyed our dinners at the hotel. Once you arrive at the ranch you are shown to your room ‘casita’ and the you are guided to the parking area . Within the hotel grounds it’s possible to get to one place to another via golf carts. Very easy to communicate with front desk via WhatsApp and within 2 minutes the cart is at your room. Makes it feel even safer with kids walking around and quiet during the horse rides.
Terrible experience! Made me wish I hadn't visited. I'm surprised by all the 5 star reviews, I'm wondering if they even visited the same place. Everything is highly overpriced, from the rooms to food to all other services/amenities, I don't know what they think they're selling. My guess is that all the 5 star reviews are paid ones. Save your money and time and stay away from this place!!! IT'S A TOTAL RIPOFF!
