Lovely place surrounded by nature, intimate with few selected rooms. The decoration is simple but colorful and attractive The beds are super comfortable and the facilities are very well cared. The attention is excellent and the surroundings are peaceful. Also it has its own little restaurant and the food is tasty..

Yesterday, I took 3 of my friends to El Macehual to introduce them to this wonderful place. I was there about 3 weeks ago and the lavender was just starting to bloom. Yesterday, we were thrilled to see it in bull bloom! Upon our arrival, we were greeted warmly by Laura who is the Owner of the property. She gave us a most informative and engaging ‘tour’, showing us one of the guest houses and all the facilities including 2 pools. The view of the surrounding countryside and mountains is amazing! We enjoyed a delicious lunch that featured authentic Mexican dishes including a final treat of Cactus Ice Cream. We will definitely be returning next year; thank you Laura for your heartfelt welcome and most enjoyable experience!

A friend brought me out to this amazing, surprising hotel. Just 25 minutes from San Miguel it is like a very different world. Great building, plantings, buildings. And, some of the best Mexican food and service I have had in SMA. I mean it. Very pro all around. Worth the trip. Just do it, get out of town.
