El Retiro City Center

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, the bed was perfectly clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was large and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. Everything was incredibly neat and spotless, you can tell the staff truly care about the guest experience. It felt like a little oasis of calm and order, which we deeply appreciated. We only stayed for one night, but we truly wished we could have stayed longer, we had such a restful and pleasant time. We’ve stayed in hotels in many different countries, but it’s rare to find such a great balance between a reasonable price and such high-quality service and comfort. This place truly exceeded our expectations. A special thanks to Alejandro at the reception, he was incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. He explained everything clearly and made our check-in process fast and smooth. His warm attitude made us feel very welcome from the very beginning. Thank you, Alejandro, for your kindness and support! Next time we visit, we will definitely choose this hotel again and again. We hope to see you soon! Can’t say enough great things about our stay! My friend and I stayed for 3 nights and everything was fantastic. Alejandro at the front desk was especially helpful. He got us a room as soon as we arrived even though we were there hours before check-in time. He also marked up a map of how to take public transportation to all of the top spots in Madrid. He was very friendly and one of the highlights of our trip! The rooms were also lovely. Very spacious and great amenities. I loved that the tvs were equipped with chrome cast so we could use our streaming services. Housekeeping was also great. We received a note that Ruth was our chambermaid and would be available if we needed anything, which I thought was a nice touch. Every day we came back to a clean room and a new water bottle (which was very appreciated in the August heat!). Breakfast was delicious! We went every morning and there was always a great selection. Plus the host was attentive and friendly. The location is great if you’re okay with public transportation. Less than a two minute walk to the metro station plus a bus stop right in front. Made it very convenient to get to the city center. I recommend signing up for the rewards program and booking through the official website. We got a really good discount plus some extra perks. Overall, we had a great time at the Hotel Catalonia and they made our visit to Madrid extra special. I hope we can one day come back!

Really nice hotel in a good location with clean spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Very helpful staff, particularly Alejandro who went above and beyond to help us. Close to the metro and on a busy bus route so great location.Nice little bar and small restaurant. Room service a tad expensive but it is a nice hotel and in the capital so its to be expected. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back when im next in Madrid.
