El Tucano Resort & Thermal Spa

I have stayed there many times, but the quality of the place has decayed. I only went for the thermal waters. The staff at the restaurant is usually good and polite. At the front desk, only Juan Carlos has good service and is attentive and polite. The rest of the staff does not appear to enjoy the job they’re doing. The restaurant kept telling us for years that the oven was broken and no signs of fixing it. Good is average, but not good enough. The prices of the room are way too high to the quality of them. I had to stay at a different location this time and don’t think I’ll go back again. They need to drop the room prices. Not even a mini fridge to keep my water and their beer selection quite limited. No Pilsen 6.0 so it is a killer

We enjoyed a 2 night stay here on vacation The thermal pools a d river very nice. The property also has jungle trails along the river. Dissapointed with loud paddle fans(no ac) in the rooms and the staff power washing the pool decks starting at 545am, very loud and inconsiderate.

I was there with a group last month and I’ve read this is considered a 3-star resort. The grounds are pretty and I had a very good massage but the service is mostly bad, the food is awful and the rooms need a major overhaul. My room’s air conditioning barely worked and there was mold on the walls and curtains. The location is very isolated.
