Great hotel in an unbeatable location – right in the heart of Athens! You can walk to almost everything. The highlight for me was definitely breakfast on the rooftop with a direct view of the Acropolis – absolutely stunning way to start the day. Food was fresh, tasty, and enough variety. The staff were friendly, but service could be a bit more attentive at times. Nothing major, just small things that make a difference. Overall, a very pleasant stay. Would definitely come back. Solid 4 stars!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4.5/5) Elegant hotel in a prime location—but comes at a premium We stayed at Electra Metropolis Athens during our Greece trip and found it to be a well-appointed hotel with a few trade-offs. Ambience: The lobby is bright, spacious, and modern, with a large waiting area. The hallways reminded us of a convention-style hotel—functional more than cozy. The rooftop view of the Acropolis, especially during breakfast, is a standout. Staff: Friendly and helpful throughout. The concierge is conveniently located in the lobby and always ready to assist. Amenities: All the expected 5-star comforts—coffee machine, slippers, toiletries, hair dryer, etc.—were provided. Cleanliness: Housekeeping was consistent and thorough. Our room was always clean and well-kept. Breakfast: While the rooftop setting is stunning, the food selection felt limited for a hotel of this caliber. We expected a bit more variety. Location: Excellent. Right within the Plaka district and walking distance to the Acropolis and key attractions. The area is lively and full of character. Value for Money: This was one of the most expensive hotels we’ve stayed in—comparable to Reykjavik prices. While the location justifies some of the cost, there are likely more affordable options nearby. Overall, a solid choice if you want to be in the heart of Athens and enjoy a touch of luxury—just be prepared to pay for the convenience.

We recently stayed at Electra Metropolis Athens and booked a Deluxe Room, expecting a more premium experience. Unfortunately, it was a major letdown. The balcony, which we paid extra for, was completely pointless — the only view was of surrounding building walls and we were constantly hit with strong restaurant smells. It was completely unusable, and definitely not worth the upgrade. What’s worse is that there was no clarity at the time of booking about what to expect from the Deluxe Room. For the extra cost, we assumed a better view or at least a more enjoyable space, but that was far from reality. When we raised our concerns, the hotel’s response was disappointing. They offered each of us just a single drink or the option to move to another room on the same side of the building, which would have changed nothing. It wasn’t worth the hassle. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful throughout — it honestly felt like they didn’t care about guest satisfaction. We strongly recommend avoiding the Deluxe Room. You’re better off booking a Classic Room — it offers the same experience without the inflated price. Overall, we were really unimpressed with what the hotel offered, especially for what we paid. Definitely not what you’d expect from a supposed 5-star hotel.
