Our Third Visit – Still Amazing! My wife and I recently took a short trip back to the Elegance – our third time here – and what can I say? Just like our previous visits, it was absolutely amazing. The staff are always so polite and helpful, and everything from the pools to the rooms is kept spotlessly clean. The snack bar is always fresh and well-stocked, which is a great touch. The restaurant as a good mix of food. Overall, it’s been another wonderful holiday, and we’re already hoping to be back
For a five star hotel, my expectation was high. Our room was in a really but location, the phone line didn't work properly and we couldn't connect to WiFi for 24hrs. The adapters didn't work as well. We had to buy another one from there. The sauna and steam room was smelly. The food wasn't great. Oh be careful when travelling from airport to the hotel. Do not buy your excursion/entertainment tickets, they tend to push you to buy them, they don't take no for an answer and it's charged in pounds. I bought 3 and I only used 1. The massage and hammam baths didn't meet my expectations so I didn't participate. The boat ride was okay. Oh by the way, I stayed here in April 2024, I didn't have time to review. Maybe things has changed.
Probably the strangest thing that’s ever happened to me in a hotel. To put it briefly: the room cleaner took our chocolate, ate it, and then hid the empty wrapper in the drawer where we kept our intimate belongings. Yes, really. It all started when I didn’t leave a tip for housekeeping — the room hadn’t actually been cleaned. They just changed the towels and barely made the bed. In my view, tips are a reward for good service, not an obligation. Apparently, the staff didn’t agree. After that, they stopped cleaning our room altogether and even hung an extra “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door. We started collecting those signs — it became a weird little joke between us. This went on for a few days. I eventually reported the issue to the front desk, but nothing really changed. Since our vacation was only six days and we’re not particularly messy, we let it go. But the real shock came at checkout. We discovered that our chocolate bar had been eaten and the empty wrapper was hidden in the drawer where our personal items were stored. It felt like a serious invasion of privacy — and it left us wondering what else that person might’ve done in our room. When we mentioned it to reception, the staff showed zero empathy and subtly suggested we were making it up. Honestly, if we were going to invent something, it definitely wouldn’t be something this weird. Other than that, the hotel itself is quite nice — not new, but clean rooms, a well-maintained property, and tasty food.
