Clean, great staff and close enough to the city. Perfect spot about 15-20 min outside of the city. Close to transportation and there is a supermarket and shopping center attached. We will definitely stay again. The rooms were spotless and the AC worked great!
We are a family of 4 and had some trouble finding accommodations in Amsterdam (many hotels limit 2 to a room). The suite for 4 here was convenient, as it had a sink to wash baby bottles and a separate area for the crib / toddler to sleep. The breakfast was delicious and the same every morning (bacon, eggs, yogurt, various breads and baked goods, charcuterie, juice, espresso machine). The showers had good water pressure too. The hotel is connected to a really nice mall with a full grocery store (diapers and wipes!) and many clothing stores. The hot pot restaurant was our favorite. If you decide to take public transportation, ask the staff for directions. There was a tram stop within a 5 minute walk, but Google maps had us walking 2 tram stops away, which was closer to a 20 minute walk. The tram system is very convenient and easy to use, but buy a day (or multiple day) pass at the main station (that 20 minute walk) because you will need to scan if every time you get on and off the trains/trams/buses. Oh and lastly, don’t use the laundry room if you can help it. $7 to wash and $7 to dry. They said the washing machines had soap in them (you cannot add it yourself) but all our clothes came out exactly as they went in so I don’t think there’s any soap.
Posting this to provide caution to everyone. This should be the first thing on the hotel’s website and there should be a pop up that warns you of this policy before you book. I wasn’t aware of this and took me by surprise. I arrived after an 8hr overnight flight, all I wanted to do was check in and shower. The only reason I stayed at this hotel was its proximity to the airport and I figured as Platinum status, I would have more luck checking in early here vs the W Hotel. I know early check in and late check out is not guaranteed but what irked me the most was that they wouldn’t even let me check in early when a room is available, but I was told for the hassle of letting me check in I would need to pay 50euros. I asked if they would waive it for Plat members, nope. And I also pleaded with them that I was checking out at 7am so they would get the room back early and if they can grant a 24hr type of arrangement, that would very much appreciated. Again, they said no. When a room is available and you still don’t let your members (someone who stays over 50+ nights each year) check in early is not service oriented. This is the quickest way to lose a customer. The hotel is clean, close to trams/buses and is attached to mall, very convenient if you want to cook a meal. Breakfast was decent - both hot & cold options.
