Very far from the expectations. And I did not expect anything near luxury. I booked here a 2-night stay via Booking, paid for a suite and expected a suit-like experience. I was disappointed. First, let's talk about the room. I booked a "Superior Suite". It was neither superior, nor a suite. It is an ex-apartment in an old building turned into a hotel. In the bathroom, there was a towel hanger, that didn't have much life left. It was almost hanging from the toilet wall. I took a photo of it immediately (included in the review), in case it fell. I was afraid they would demand reimbursement from me, so I took the photo to protect myself in that case. Felt like a money-grabbing trap, but I really hope it was just overlooked. The morning after our first night, no housekeeping staff visited our room. We left for a few hours, to let them clean up at least. I know many hotels now don't change bedsheets, towels etc, due to ecological reasons, and I am totally fine with that! But they didn't even bother to come and vacuum the place a bit. And the most important of all: ANTS!!!! Freaking ants, in a ""SUITE""!! And not just in one spot, near a nest or something. We had ants in the living room, ants in the bedroom, ants in the toilet. And not just 1-2 ants per room. This is a terrible experience for a hotel room, let alone in a ""suite""!! I should not have to check my luggage for ants before I go home. I have clothes, underwear and valuables in my suitcase. I don't need ants in there, thank you. If we knew beforehand that we would have had so many tenants with us in the room, we would ask for a much lower price for the ""suite"". I took a video, but due to Google restrictions I am only posting screenshots of that video. Last but not least, the location. The neighborhood is highly unsafe and not lit well enough. Yes, there is a good outlet mall nearby, but during the night the area is not so crowded. Personally, I don't mind this and I knew about the neighborhood, because I spent many years living nearby. I am just mentioning this for tourists and people who don't know anything about Thessaloniki. I highly recommend against booking here. Go to a 30€/night hotel for horny couples. At least there won't be an ant infestation there, and you can spend your hardly-earned money elsewhere. Elephants are afraid of mice, not ants. At least I didn't meet a mouse in the room...

Very far from expectations, while on booking is a top one. I asked a room with sea view. They gave me one with mall view. Inside not se cleaned as should be. No hot water at shower while i used their specific device. For next guest to know. I hope they will fix their problems

As a frequent guest at Elephant Suites (I’ve stayed here more than six times), I feel the need to raise some serious concerns. The quality of service and maintenance has noticeably declined this year. The condition of apartment 101 is unacceptable — the main door lock is poorly secured, with a visible gap around the lock that makes it easy to tamper with. In the bathroom, the door lock came off completely, almost causing injury. The bed appears broken in the middle, supported only by boards. I checked in around 5–5:30 PM local time, and the towels provided were still damp, which is not acceptable. Additionally, the cleaning is subpar — areas like behind the curtains clearly haven’t been cleaned in a long time. This place used to be much better 2–3 years ago. Based on this experience, I will seriously reconsider staying here again, and I will be sharing this feedback publicly.
