Amazing! In every way. Such a fun staff. The food was unbelievable. Very talented chefs. Epicurean level. Our room and view was magnificent. The beds were oversized and so comfortable. No lumps! Softest sheets! Our guide Joe, was absolutely brilliant! So knowledgeable and friendly. We wanted to take him home!!!
Elsa’s Kopje was incredibly beautiful with cottages that were uniquely designed and well appointed. Meru National Park is absolutely stunning, especially the lush, verdant areas along the river. The entire staff was welcoming and accommodating, especially considerate of the needs of one of our group who had some mobility issues. The food was excellent and plentiful. My only cautions are: 1) due to its location and the irregular pathways and number of stairs, it can be a challenging place to get around if you are older or have any mobility issues, and 2) to be prepared for a toilet and shower with very little privacy! If you are young and fit, and are really comfortable with your companion, you will have no problems and will fall in love with it! (Also, recommend you bring a torch or a motion sensor nightlight - our cottage had stairs up to the bathroom and down to the sitting room, and a light is mandatory to navigate them safely.)
Only resort inside Meru National Park in the historical estate where Joy Adamson of Born Free lived. Fabulous range of animals. We were lucky to see all of the Big 5 by our second game drive. Location and service par excellence.
