Elewana Sand River Masai Mara

My sister, husband and I stayed at Sand River for 4 nights and it is definitely one of our best stays ever.. The tents are really gorgeous and you are overlooking Tanzania across the river which is really cool. We. could hear lions roar at night which was pretty amazing. The meals at Sand River were very delicious and we had a lot of variety even though my sister and I are vegetarians. But to me what stands out most about Sand River is the absolutely wonderful team they have. Starting with Nicolene who is the manager and clearly an amazing leader all around. She is so sweet and lovely and always had amazing stories to share. She made my sisters birthday so special without even asking! Patrick our butler was an absolute delight to meet. He is so lovely to talk to and always greeted us with a warm smile. Jeremiah became a friend! Would definitely recommend asking him to make cocktails for you as they are some of the most delicious cocktails we've ever had! And after a long game drive, it was all we needed. Thanks to Dennis who was always waiting with warm / cold towels for us after our game drives and special thanks to Chef for all the amazing food and the yummy cake on my sisters birthday. Sand River has definitely left a mark in our hearts and we look forward to being back.

Boniface and the team made sure to always welcome us. It was a delight to see him first thing in the morning and last in the evening. We truly loved being here. The meals are incredible - thank you George- as well as the service and the scenery. A truly unforgettable experience and we hope someday to come back. We’ll be letting everyone know about our wonderful stay!

The entire experience was perfect! The staff was amazing and we loved everything about our stay. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made every game drive interesting. Everyone went out of their way to provide the best experience.
