Elia Agia Marina Hotel

My husband and I stayed for a week at Elia Agia Marina. We had a lovely room with our own little swimming pool. Our shower had a built in steam sauna function which was very nice. The location was right on the beach with the best soft sand in the area! Each morning, the breakfast buffet had so many different options and was always delicious. The hotel staff were all amazing - so welcoming and helpful! I highly recommend Elia Agia Marina to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay near Chania.

Staff and service at this hotel were great!!!! Food and drinks were amazing! The water was shallow. Due to the windy weather, there were many waves (not typical).

We’re currently on our second day of a three-night stay, and unfortunately, our experience doesn’t match the glowing reviews that led us to book this hotel. Our room, located on the ground floor, has been plagued by mosquitoes and constant noise from what seems to be a nearby staff room or kitchen. We’ve raised these concerns with the reception three times, kindly asking if we could move to a different room. Each time, we were told the only solution was to spray insecticide, which hasn’t made any noticeable difference. Breakfast has also been a letdown. We’ve had far better meals in more modest two-star hotels. There may be nicer rooms here, but if you’re unlucky like us, your stay will fall far short of expectations.
