Eliathos Hillside Retreat

Our villa was beautiful and the views from the terrace, pool and breakfast area spectacular. Breakfast was delicious and high quality. We hired a car for a couple of days, visited Knossos, ate in their sister restaurant Manili (recommend also) and had a wonderful time. I can't wait to go back xx

Just spent three nights at Eliathos and I am definitely going back there at my next trip to Irakleio! Staff is super helpful and friendly, they managed an unforeseen situation which was beyond their control (the local council decided to pave the only road that leads to the hotel at the very last moment) with professionalism and care. Breakfast was very nice (Bruschettas FTW!), especially when you take it outside in the morning breeze. The room is cosy and clean, the amenities are more than enough and the beds and pillows were very comfortable! I would expect the pool to be a bit deeper, but you probably can't have it deeper with that (relatively short) length. Nevertheless, the location, view and the song of cicadas were compensating for that. The garden is well tended to and the gardener was very nice and easy-going. Overall, the place is great for chilling and disconnecting. But that doesn't mean it is remote; it is practically walking distance to the nearest town (without any luggage though, because the road is quite steep) where you can have a raki or coffee.

Lovely accommodation. Good beds and eveywhere special doors to keep the mosquitos out! Very good!! Pool nice and attractively designed. Tip: A dishwasher would be nice as well as bedlights. Very nice gardens and views
