Elixir Resort Koh Yao Yai

Not a lot to do but relax!!! We had a pool villa and it was delightful!!! Great view nice pool and cute room!! The beach is gorgeous!!! Enjoyed happy hour each night and a great sunset as well.

Nice place, superb beach location. Restaurant reasonable priced ( only around 30% premium compared to outside). The beachfront pool villas might be a bit overpriced and aren't very private. Especially if you choose one with a big tree in front (eg 113): you'll see lots of people in front and walking through your garden. The open showers and yacuzzi (not enough water) are nice but right on the pathway behind the bungalow. Also feels a bit like a kindergarten: lots of families with small noisy kids. All in all still a good place. Oh and I forgot to mention: Mainly European customers. The "special tourist operation" seems to have problems with the terrain, so not (too many) white shirted shreks 🤗

Beautiful location and beautiful villas/bungalows with different layouts. Good for sunset. Nice and friendly staff. The hotel is not new(2006), but aged well and with beautiful gardens. Good room rates during rainy season. Generally, about the island; this is not a typical Thai/Buddhist place. No Temples, but many Mosques. Also reflected in the food offering. But overall, a beautiful island with easy access to neighbouring islands, a few nice resorts, Elixir, Anantara and Koh Yao Yai Village resort included, and especially, one stunning beach to the north of the island. Anantara is typical Anantara luxury, but Elixir is more cosy, personal and private. We brought a car and took a ferry from Phuket Town. Affordable transportation 1 1/2 hour(about 600 baht), on an older vessel. However, nice to have easy access to transportation while on the island. Most people travel by speed boat and have pickup transportation or rent motorcycle while here!
