Well done ELK on making our stay last weekend so great. We travel a lot and its fair to say that Jake and his team communicate better than any place I've stayed. The bar and restaurant are lovely with great food and the best coffee on the mountain. The room was neat and tidy and completely suitable for a few days at the snow. The drying rooms are a nice touch and a five minute walk to the Halley's Comet lift made for a great weekend. We will definitely return to the Elk again for our next Falls Creek Holiday

We had pre-booked the stay with Elk six months ago and got locked into $3600 for three nights. Based on its uphill location and flourishing photos/marketing materials, we thought that'd be justifiable. However Jake the hotel manager came across very indifferent and rude from the start of the journey. We kept him aware of our arrival at ATS, after waiting 30 mins more we called him again and asked where he was, he negligently said I can be on the way if you are ready.. the baggage's were misplaced in the cart, and first thing that fell out as we were driving uphill was our boards.. The rest of interactions with him were very poor and the apartment's placed in the basement, tiny and mouldy.. There are whole lots of other options up there with similar rates, Elk unfortunately is a poor example of how hotel should run. We would like to warn those looking to book to think again.
