We had a lovely stay here. The staff were so attentive and really friendly! Breakfast was a real highlight too - our first experience of Sri Lankan breakfast, all fresh and made to order and a generous portion. Great location - 5 mins walk to the town but away from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street. Lovely view from our balcony too. Great pool table and bar too. Would recommend :)

Beautiful Location, Great Amenities, But Some Room for Improvement I recently stayed at Elle Heritage Hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few areas that could be improved. The hotel's location is absolutely perfect, with stunning views of Elle Rock, which made waking up every day a real treat. The infinity pool is beautiful and relaxing, though it would have been ideal if it had hot water – that would have made a big difference, especially in cooler weather. The suite room itself was perfect—spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable. However, the door lock seemed a bit old and could use a replacement for added security. Additionally, the absence of a safe locker in the room was a bit of a concern, especially for those who like to store their valuables securely. One of the highlights was the breakfast, which offered a great selection, whether you prefer a traditional local breakfast or an English breakfast. It was a good way to start the day. The biggest downside is the lack of parking. You’ll need to park on the roadside, which can be inconvenient and a bit of a safety concern. Another downside is the absence of an elevator—if you're staying in the suite rooms, be prepared to climb a set of stairs. On the plus side, the hotel is within easy walking distance of Ella city and Ravana Pool Club, making it a convenient location for exploring the area. In conclusion, the location and amenities are fantastic, but some minor improvements—like a hot pool, better security features, and better parking options—could make this place even better. Still, it’s a solid choice for those visiting Ella.

Terrible Service – Dishonest and Unreliable! We called Ella Heritage to reserve their last available room for our cousin. The staff assured us they would hold it if we paid an advance, and we agreed. However, they never sent the bank details despite promising to do so. We trusted their word that the room was reserved, but later, they coldly informed us it was given to someone else leaving my cousin and their child stranded with nowhere to stay. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. If a hotel cannot keep its word or follow basic booking procedures, they should not be in business. Their careless mistake caused us unnecessary stress, and we strongly advise others to avoid this place. Zero reliability, zero accountability. And Ms. Nethusala is the one fully responsible for this mess. She failed to send the bank details as promised, yet still gave us a false confirmation that the room was reserved. Never trust this hotel !!!!!!
