Ellaidhoo Maldives by Cinnamon

It was lovely! The staff looked after us very well. Great for snorkeling! You're immediately surrounded by shoals of fish, sharks, parrot fish. Our room was serviced every day. Fresh bottled water. The island is great. Plenty to do with excursions to sign up for, a spa, snorkeling, diving, relaxing.

We spent 5 unforgettable days in this island paradise, and it was absolutely worth every moment. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, always making us feel welcomed. The food was delicious and truly worth the price we paid — fresh, flavorful, and plenty of variety every day. We stayed in a beachfront villa with an incredible sunrise view — waking up to that each morning was magical. We also experienced the water villa, which was just as amazing. Watching the sunset from the balcony while spotting reef sharks and vibrant marine life below was something we’ll never forget. We really appreciated the resort’s zero-plastic initiative — it’s a small but meaningful step for the environment. Our only concern was the hidden charges. There were some unexpected taxes that turned out to be quite costly, and we wish we had been informed more clearly about them in advance. Overall, it was a well-spent and dreamy getaway that we’d recommend — just make sure to ask for a full breakdown of costs before your trip. One thing to note: drones are not allowed inside the island. We managed to fly ours just outside the water villa area, beyond the island perimeter, to still capture those stunning aerial shots.

I recently returned from this holiday site. I was informed that I could have a twin Water Bungalow, they do not do twin Water Bungalow. A sofa had to be made into a single bed. It also declared a TV and DVD; they no longer provide a DVD player. I asked when the feeding of the fishes was. I was informed that they no longer do feeding of the fishes; although the site still shows photos of “feeding the fishes”. I was informed that the nearest restaurant was exclusive for the Water Bungalows. This is not now the case. I was informed that the three restaurants served breakfast. This is not so, only one restaurant serves breakfast. Reception told me that the information I was given was two years out of date. Should this be so then Cinnamon should check with their agencies that correct information is given. I was, as you may guess, not impressed with my holiday. Whom so ever is at fault someone needs to sort it out.
