Perfect place, exceptional breakfast. Good price quality rate. We had appartement 25 for 6 persons. Surroundings is not beautiful, but very efficient and located nearby higjway. Truly kind owner, clean, details of hospitality. We will return.
Ellen Hotel is actually a motel, with entrance to the rooms directly from the outside. But with the parking spots very close, that was a good thing. We had bad weather, though, so then you get a bit stuck in the room. Common areas are also limited. As we were just passing through by car, the location was very nice. The room and bathroom was nice and spacy, with two comfortable chairs. And also a fridge, water kettle and coffee/tea. There were no air conditioning or ventilation, except for the very noisy fan in the bathroom - which also requied the light to be on. So the climate was quite bad. The window could be opened/tilted also at the top, but the walkway to other rooms was only centimeters away. The breakfast was OK, but after reading other reviews we was a bit disappointed. It was scrambled eggs and bacon, but cold. But everything was delicate and tasty, and the tables were nicely decorated. During breakfast, there were some conversations with the hosts and what seemed to be regular guests. It almost felt a bit exclusionary. Except for the bad ventilation, we had a nice stay. But to be honest, we expected more for the price.
