Ellenborough Park

Loved our stay at the hotel! The hospitality was commendable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We truly appreciated the complimentary room upgrade, which gave us more space for our little one to enjoy. Although we had to wait a little while during check-in, the staff were humble and apologetic about the delay. The spa treatments were relaxing and well done. Breakfast options were exceptional — truly over the top! It would be great to have a wider variety of food options in the lunch and dinner menus. Overall, a perfect definition of where luxury meets nature.

Went for Champagne afternoon tea, couldn't fault the food, delicious and lots of it. Service was a bit slow but it was busy and only 2 people serving. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Absolutely beautiful hotel, stunning features, reminded me of a National Trust property, so much history. Setting was another great feature, fantastic views. Hoping to return and explore the grounds.

The hotel is marketed as a 5-star hotel with a luxury experience but didn’t meet expectations at all. Recently visited with my family and booked a Manor Suite and a Traditional dog-friendly room. Both rooms were not cleaned during our stay, with bathrooms not being cleaned, used mugs not replaced, towels not being refreshed, and no hoovering/Vacuuming of the rooms. When asked to clean the rooms, only the towels were changed. There were also signs the traditional room was not cleaned before our arrival: human hair was found in the shower and tablets next to the bed. The shower had black mould, that’s easy to clean, and the toilet door couldn’t close. The only positive is that the beds are comfortable. The restaurant was also disappointing. Service was very slow. Food was average, with some of the meals being very salty. Staff are friendly and are kind to dogs. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a luxury experience.
