Keeps changing names. Latest name is Hype Hotel. I booked a room elsewhere through VRBO and it was apparently double booked. The manager of the other property set me up in this unit last minute after learning her property was double booked. I fortunately had a room with a bathroom and did not need to share the one down the hall. The bathroom window and security bars do not lock. Not sure how high the risk of someone entering from another unit via roof but the security bars need repair. There is a garbage can full of standing water directly outside windows with no screens - not sure if mosquitoes and other insects result from the stagnant water. Requested a fan this morning and still waiting. My room is not as bad as some of the others described here but definitely lower budget than the unit I booked.

Stay away from this place. When we arrived, they had already given our 6 person room to someone else. There were 3 other groups of people trying to find other hotels because their rooms had also been given away & the hotel refused to give them refunds after they had already paid online. They ended up putting us in 2 separate rooms in the basement. Luckily, both rooms had their own bathrooms. All the other rooms in the hotel have a shared bathroom on the 2nd floor so be warned that it's 1 bathroom for several rooms. One of our rooms did not have a key to lock it. When we left the next morning, the person on duty assured us he would find a key for our room & lock it for us. When we got back later that evening, they gave us our key, but the things we had in our room were gone . . . over $100 worth of towels, toiletries, personal items. When we confronted the person on duty he proceeded to yell at us & tell us it was our fault & that he had done us a courtesy to have the room cleaned while we were away. I have never had a man yell at me in my face like that. He said we should have never stayed in a room without a key (even though those were the only rooms they could offer us) He said he had the maid come in & clean the room & she must have thrown our things away even though he knew we were still staying there. The next morning we asked the maid who did not speak english (we used google translate to communicate with her) & she remembered seeing our things, but she said they were sent with the "wash." We asked her when they'd come back & she said they wouldn't. It was a very bad miscommunication error on the part of the hotel staff & it resulted in $100 of lost items for us. Once we mentioned filing a police report, the manager did compensate us in cash which we were very grateful for, but it was a mess that never should have happened in the first place. The person on duty leaves at night & nobody is on duty until about 10am. Everyone is in the hotel alone at night. We just left our keys on the desk because nobody was working to check us out.

Do not book. All these reviews are 100% accurate. Awful rooms. Bedding looks like its not been updated in 30 years, paint falling off walls, bedside units covered in scratches. Staff try to force you to send payment before you get to look at the room. We refused to stay and got out ASAP.
