Gorgeous hotel in Elounda set on the seafront with amazing views! Rooms - we had a side sea view and it was lovely. Slightly on the small side, but once all your belongings are away, it is fine. There are no drawers though so I'd recommend bringing some packing cubes and use them as drawers for underwear, socks, swimwear etc. Air-conditioning worked perfectly, safe included in the cost, decent hairdryer provided along with mini toiletries. Rooms were cleaned every day by the fantastic maids.10/10 service to these ladies, they work so hard. Food- we only did B&B. There was plenty to choose from and you were able to have a good variety of food each day. Fresh orange juice, tea, coffee and water. We did eat in the Blue Sea Restuarant which is part of the hotel. Food was nice and lovely setting on the sea front to enjoy your food & drinks. Pool - pool is on the 4th floor next to the Sky Bar. Only 16 beds and you need to go early to get one. Whilst we were there guests did reserve sunbeds and not use them until hours later. This is not permitted but the hotel didn't do alot about it. There are signs around to ask guests not to reserve beds and any items will be removed after 30 mins but this didn't happen. There are books available if you need something to read. Sky Bar - Poppy does an amazing job running the bar and serving food. The hotel would be lost without her. The bar area was spotless and the food served was so fresh and full of flavour. My favourite was the Greek Salad. The hotel has alot of regular guests who visit year after year, which shows how good it is. We will be returning in the near future
The rooms are a small but comfortable. They could use a bit more storage space however. Our balcony was small and didn't have the greatest of views but that didn't affect our enjoyment of our stay. The shower was amazing! The staff are, without exception, extremely friendly and it's the most beautiful place we've ever enjoyed a breakfast. Great location, near fabulous bars & restaurants and the gorgeous marina. We have definitely fallen in love with Greece and it's people ❤️
Great hotel, Having just returned from a weeks stay, We found this hotel so peaceful and relaxing. The hotel staff were very polite and welcoming. Our room 104 was perfect with a balcony with two sun beds however, although the balcony had a sea view it was a bit over looked by other rooms from the front back and from above as the balcony had two sun beds it would definitely benefit from having a parasol for some privacy. The bed was a little uncomfortable for my liking but not so much I didn’t sleep. The sky bar was absolutely perfect, offering a wide range of food and drinks and the views were spectacular. The woman who works in the sky bar during the day was extremely pleasant and took the time to get know you and made the best cocktails. The rooftop pool area with sun beds was a very relaxing place to spend the day soaking up the sun. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and something for everyone’s taste and guests are able to sit out by the sea for breakfast. We could not fault the hotel and its staff at all. The blue sea restaurant had the perfect setting out over the water but unfortunately as we stayed half bored we did notice a difference in service from its staff between half bored guests and of that who were not. It’s was apparent that people paying for their food got a more friendly attitude from staff and took the time to charm the diners as opposed to half bored guests. On our first night at the restaurant we were seated at a table given our menus and felt like we’re valued guests but as soon as we stated we were half bored the menus were almost snatched out of our hands and given different menus and attitude from staff changed and was quite rude and made us feel rushed to order and leave all the time being very polite and making conversation with the people who were not half bored, it just seemed that we inferior to them. As a result of this we ended up going out for dinner at various other restaurants in the area and felt very welcomed. Also half bored guests are only given a two hour time slot to have dinner between 18:00 and 20:00. There was also a young man who was clearly in training at the restaurant who made every effort to interact with guests and always greeted us with a smile. He was clearly trying extremely hard but as we’re sitting at our table it became more and more apparent that no matter how hard he tried it wasn’t good enough, we felt so sorry for him. With the effort this young man was putting in he’d be an absolute asset to the restaurant. We gave the service 4 stars but of course the hotel staff were absolutely brilliant. Overall we’d be extremely happy to return to this hotel but on a B&B basis.
