What an amazing hotel! I would highly recommend it. We were absolutely stunned. It's in a great location. The city center and the port of Kalamata are relatively close by if you go by car. They have a large parking area in the front. But, to be honest, the hotel is so amazing that you won't want to leave. The staff is very friendly. They upgraded our room, and we were so excited. We got to stay in a room that had its own private pool and garden. The breakfast was delicious with many fresh and tasty options. We also tried the spa and got a couples' massage, which was a great experience. The woman at the spa was very kind, and we felt very comfortable. All in all, it was an awesome experience, and we will come back in the future.
Driving from Nafplion to Kalamata was wonderful, driving through the mountains of Peloponesse was both educational in terms of the mountain structure and geography of the Morea and also relaxing seeing the olive trees along the way to Kalamata and stopping time to time in the mountains for nice fresh air. Kalamata is a small town where world wide famous kalamata olives come from. We were lucky because on the day we arrived there was Olive Festival by the beach where lots of olive producers from villages and industry attended. I went to the festival and met some nice people bought olives and olive oil. The hotel is inside a land of olive and citrus grooves with a nice big swimming pool. We spend time at night drinking by the pool.side. Town of Kalamata is busy too. There was athletics trials and kids football games. I watched the trials. 😁 I liked Kalamata. The fish restaurant was superb.
It's a nice hotel at a very convenient location. Definitely not a 5 star hotel and definitely overpriced. I would have given a 5 star rating if it was 80-100€/ night less. Also, for the price paid it's a shame that you need to pay extra 10€ for 45' use of the indoor pool.
