As always, I love staying at this place. I happened to walk in as a group of 15 entitled people, some of whom were "returnees" from America, were causing drama, insulting and threatening the fantastic staff. Their disgusting behaviour that should not portray this hotel badly. (They came to do a photo shoot unannounced and without permission, and were asked to leave. They turned nasty when they didn't get their own way) They have of course, as Americans that always threaten bad reviews when they don't get their own way, decided to come on here and be accusative. (The reviews are from Jelson Spencer and Amarh Ashitei Derrick) From my view, they were the ones that caused all the trouble, and they we lucky not to be evicted from the premises sooner. I have stayed at Luxe Suites many times, and have never had a problem with any of the staff. They have always treated me with incredible respect and big smiles.
This place is confusing. On one hand the rooms are big, and have a separate tiny to medium sized "sitting room" attached to the main bedroom, and large achingly modern king and queen size beds on platforms with leather headboards (one room we have had has a round bed), there are issues with the cleanliness of the rooms and the bathrooms, and the quickness of service requests getting answered (for example a simple request for another bath towel is a major even)t. The included breakfast is problematical. If you arrive in the dining room with 15 to 20 minutes remaining in the breakfast time, you may be told the cook has left and breakfast is finished. (A surly waitress sluggishly served us dry toast and tea when we demanded SOMETHING for breakfast. So be sure to get up early.) The one time we hit the breakfast jackpot, it was scrambled eggs, toast, crepes, and coffee or tea. OK but nothing special. However I recommend the restaurant for dinner. They do an Asian fusian kind of thing--Chinese/Thai?--that includes on its menu fried glass noodles with vegetables that is excellent. We have actually stopped staying there for the night because of the breakfast situation, , but drive over to their restaurant for dinner. I give them 3 stars because their restaurant dinner menu is good, and the food they serve is about as authentic as you will find in Accra, with large portions, well-cooked and arriving at your table in reasonably good time. and piping hot.
This place is one of the unsafest place ever seen on this Earth. A stuff of these Hotel pull out a knife on my sister because of a little misunderstanding which was caused by them. I least expect such unprofessionalism. We had to engage the police to calm down the situation. Avoid going to a place like this
