Very quiet rooms, loved the convenience of closing the door to the bedroom to further ensure noise reduction. The water pressure was perfect in the shower. The free breakfast was decent, would have enjoyed a larger variety of fresh fruit. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The lobby is great, nice comfy chairs. I will stay again for sure.

I had a very nice stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Deerfield, Illinois for Mother’s Day. The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was absolutely phenomenal—one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. There were a couple of small issues, though. The website mentioned that toiletries were included, but there was no toothpaste in the room. When I asked a staff member about it, she told me they don’t usually provide it and tossed it to me rather dismissively. Also, while the morning staff at check-in was welcoming and helpful, the night staff wasn’t quite as friendly. That said, the overall experience was still great, and I would definitely consider staying here again. A few small improvements in customer service could make this an exceptional stay across the board.

While the hotel was reasonably priced, my experience was unfortunately marred by an issue with cleanliness and pest control. During our stay, my wife and I discovered a cockroach in our room, which was particularly unsettling considering the carpet appeared quite worn. Small cockroaches can sometimes indicate an underlying pest problem, which made us uncomfortable throughout the night. We promptly reported the issue to the hotel staff, but due to the lack of room availability, we were not offered a room transfer. In hindsight, a room change likely wouldn't have addressed the underlying problem, and it left us feeling uneasy and unable to get proper rest. I requested a partial refund (50%) due to the significant inconvenience and disturbed sleep, but the hotel manager was only able to offer 40,000 Hilton points, which is roughly equivalent to one night’s stay. While I appreciated the gesture, I felt this did not adequately address the situation, and ultimately, my experience was far from what I had expected. I am sharing this feedback in hopes that the hotel takes it into account for future guests and works to resolve any potential issues with cleanliness and pest control.
