Embassy Suites by Hilton Kansas City Plaza

The hotel and rooms are dated. But my bed was comfortable and clean. AC worked great in my room. Only downside was the shower had no hot water and didn't drain well. The elevator situation was a little inconvenient but wasn't a huge deal. If the hotel got a remodel and fixed the 3rd elevator it would look a lot better! I felt pretty safe as a solo traveler. Breakfast was decent. Definitely crowded.

Our first hotel room smelt like someone had been smoking in it, however when we asked to change time they had no issues and moved us immediately. The hotel itself looks really interesting, similar to an Italian villa? Breakfast was typical, not the biggest selection, but it worked! There's a arcade tucked in the corner and the pool looked awesome, but unfortunately during our visit the pool was undergoing maintenance. It did the trick for our one day stop along our cross country journey!

Our room was ok, no hot water the first night we were there but it was fixed by late the next day. One of the elevators wasn't working so wait times were long and people would pack in them. The hotel charges for overnight parking on their own property which seems a bit ridiculous. The breakfast was good but the hotel really needs to revamp the way it is laid out because it is far too cramped and difficult to maneuver. Employees were all very friendly though, and it has a really nice pool area.
