Great stay, don’t understand all the negative reviews. Staff was great, hotel is a little dated, but clean and nice. Evening reception was good and on-par with most Embassy Suites these days. Pool is really nice as is the gym. Noise was not bad as others have stated. Had an early flight and did not try the breakfast. Would stay again if I was in the area.
**DO. NOT. STAY. HERE.** We intentionally booked this hotel due to its proximity to MIA and the reputation of Hilton/Embassy Suites hotels. I’ve stayed at other Embassy hotels before and really enjoyed the ambience and hotel. However, this was a nightmare. Shortly, after we checked in at around nine in the evening, there was no hot water whatsoever the duration of our stay. I reached out to the front desk and they basically said “well, the technician has been informed, and it would be restored tomorrow morning.” The problem with this is, it’s a huge liability and sanitary issue. How are the linens getting disinfected with no hot water, and how are dishes and other things getting washed in their restaurants? If this were a restaurant and the board of health came in, they would shut them down if they had no hot water. Additionally, Our room had bugs and/or roaches in it. Not sure what it was, but I’ve got the pictures. I did the right thing and reached out to the manager and I’ve heard no reply. So save yourself the trouble and do not stay here. This was a horrible start to our long awaited vacation.
Where do I even begin? I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years, and I typically choose properties within the Hilton family. My mother worked for Hilton for 32 years, and thanks to her, travel was always seamless—and affordable. So when I booked a stay at this Embassy Suites in Miami this past weekend, I expected a certain standard of quality and service. Unfortunately, this experience was one I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Due to a flight cancellation, we arrived late. From the moment we checked in, things went downhill. The first room we were given was absolutely unacceptable—there was hair everywhere: on the toilet, in the linens, and across surfaces. I immediately went down to the front desk to report it. The only response I received was an offer to switch rooms and a mere 10% discount. While the manager was polite and apologized, I honestly expected more given the condition of the room. We moved to a second room, only to find even more issues: more hair, an unvacuumed floor, and worst of all—German roaches. I returned to the front desk again, where I witnessed another guest reporting their own problems. What upset me further was hearing the manager offer that guest help with the words: “Is there anything I can do to make your stay better?”—a level of concern I was never shown. Eventually, the manager did increase the discount to 30%, which I appreciate—but after all that happened, I was expecting at least 50% off. This location simply doesn’t reflect the quality I’ve come to know from other Embassy Suites properties, where rooms are clean and service is top-tier. I came very close to calling Hilton corporate to report the conditions. Checking guests into rooms in that unsanitary state is unacceptable and well below brand standards. Everything else was fine. The pool area was enjoyed, breakfast & happy hour was wonderful. Ms. Gladys made some amazing drinks!! P.S. Corporate was notified.
