Stellar service, convenient location, comfortable rooms define this Embassy Suites. Everyone that works here at this Embassy Suites needs to be commended from the custodial, breakfast and management staff. All of my interactions with these people were totally positive and helpful with whatever I needed. The rooms are of average sized suites. Very clean upon arrival The bed was very comfortable. Overall quiet night. The only issue experienced was the slightly ineffective blinds of the room facing the parking lot. It allowed a bit of morning light to penetrate the room. This Embassy Suites has a convenient location. Added by the fact that it is a 1 minute walk to the train station that takes you pretty much anywhere to Minneapolis and the airport. Fort Snelling, Mall of America, and a beautiful nature walk is walking distance from this hotel. There is ample parking for your car. Parking lots steam safe and secure. Parking costs around $15 a night. On my visit I did not notice any valet service. Breakfast is great. The omelets are cooked to your order. Staff was very helpful in resupplying depleted breakfast items. There's plenty of room to sit and enjoy breakfast in the beautiful atrium of the hotel. The hotel also offers a small convenience nook for purchasing of items you may have forgotten for your trip. I also utilize a pool and jacuzzi which were a great condition. They also have a great workout room. I also to advantage of the free hotel airport shuttle. Super convenient and timely. A nice restaurant is on-site. It's hard to single out one individual employee that made a difference where everybody that I interacted with made the difference.

We had our flight rescheduled from the evening to 5am the next day. We chose this hotel because it was closest to the airport to ease travel in the morning. However, it took calling three times to get the shuttle to come pick us up (we got hung up on after being placed on hold then called back and were timed out after being on hold). We also didn't consider it would take over an hour to get food and that needing to stay up late for that would nullify any time saved in the morning. The restaurant is expensive and includes a delivery fee for room service. Breakfast doesn't start until 7:30am on weekends (6:30 weekdays) so if you have a flight 8:30am or earlier, you're out of luck. The rooms sound nice and the pictures are great, but the elevators were slow and it wasn't as nice in person. The room window that faces the hallway will never be dark. They do have darkened curtains but those do not go all the way to the edge so light will still come in along the sides. It will make it hard to use this room for sleep, especially for younger kids. Also, the bathrooms are really small because of the living room using that space. We will stay at the Hampton next time. We have stayed there before and really enjoyed it.

If you’re just needing a quick overnight stay near the airport, this place might suffice. But if you’re planning to be in town for any longer, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The overall atmosphere didn’t feel safe. On our first night, we heard what sounded like gunshots. We also experienced uncomfortable interactions with other guests to the point we debated cutting our stay short. The elevators were extremely slow (one was out of order our first morning), the breakfast buffet line (especially for omelets) was long, and the front desk staff came across as indifferent at best. Our second-floor suite was noisy. We could hear full conversations from other guests through the bathroom vent. Commentary about everything from missing luggage to toy drama to dinner plans. We also heard what sounded like a bowling alley above us well into the night. For the price, I expected more modern amenities. The TV was outdated and lagged frequently, with no streaming options like Netflix, and the suite itself felt worn. All in all, it wasn’t worth the cost, and we won’t be returning.
