Emerald Bay Hotel & Spa Nha Trang

Summary: A great option in Nha Trang. It's down a side street. Great breakfast buffet I got accidentally got a partial vs a full ocean view. Very different. The partials really don't have much of a view. I'd also say that you'll want to use Vietnam rules for understand square footage. In theory my room was over 300sq ft. In practice I think they are including the balcony and also slightly off on the sq footage. Plz note, my family is long time in construction, so I'm not going to get this wrong. That said, the Partial Ocean view I got and the price made me more than happy. That's why i'm giving it 5 stars. The room was. clean, recently upgraded and had everything I needed. The bed was comfy and I could in fact see the ocean. It was just very partial. The room does come with a nice welcome fruit basket. I loved that. You do get bottled water and coffee and tea in the room. Breakfast buffet was quite a bit better than some of the other places I stayed at in this price point. That was very surprising. The chef is actually. better than some of the other spots, which made the buffett dishes edible. That is not the case at other hotels I stayed at. Def I would consider this one if it's in your budget. Consider upgrading your room to a full Ocean View though. I feel liek those folks were quite a bit happier, when I'm reading the reviews. But TBH, at my price point, I was plenty happy. I even extended my stay.

So.. where to start. I booked this hotel based on the pinned location on a booking app and that pin location was incorrect. Not a deal breaker at all.. it’s located down the south in front of a great beach (a street behind) and still centrally located. About a 20 minute walk to the night market. Private beach. Rooms were clean. Reception staff were friendly. I stayed in an executive ocean view room. You had a view in my room to the left of the building in front of you. The room was spacious.. the bed was HUGE. Breakfast was great. Lots of Asian and western options. VERY busy. As a solo traveller the staff were so efficient I would lose my table and have to find another :) Overall a great experience. No real negs apart from the whole location thing but not really a neg overall as everything is still very walkable. Oh and it seems to be very popular with families .. lots of kiddos about, so if thats not what your looking for maybe try a different hotel. On the other hand if you have kids they have a great (little-ish) pool upstairs that is protected from the midday sun so they can splash about without getting sunburned and you can have a few cans whilst keeping them in view.

Just two minor things. My room that I got was kinda dirty. There was mold on the way. I told the front desk they were amazing gave me another room. The second was very clean! No mold! The second one was when we rented a scooter. Newer scooter is more money vs to the older one. But the bottom line is it was work probably and safe! The gentlemen told us the gas was broken, then the bike didn’t start very frustrating! We ended up getting another one. Just check you bike before using is. But overall this is hotel was nice and has amazing staff!
