Emerald Creek Cottages

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. We stayed one night in the forestview cottage. Very spacious, clean, and inviting. All the little treats included with the room were thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend this cosy cottage to all.

Cute clean cottage with plenty of room for two people, has everything you would need. Gas fire was a bit confusing but heated the place up well. Very comfortable. Close to Olinda and Emerald. Check out the bakery in Emerald.

We stayed at Emerald Creek Cottages as a family of three. The room was great, and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. However, our experience was completely ruined by the owner, Naomi. The next morning, as I stepped out, she angrily confronted me with an odd, smug expression, accusing us of having four people in the room – claiming that my wife, daughter, and my mother were all staying there. She demanded extra charge. I was shocked and told her that wasn’t true, and even offered to let her check inside. She refused, adamantly insisting, “Your mother is inside.” When I told her this was incredibly rude, I even offered to call everyone outside to prove her wrong. She reluctantly said, “Fine, I apologize,” but continued being unfriendly, saying the house next door had many people, and she was upset. This was the most bizarre and unpleasant experience of our 12-day road trip in Australia. It made me feel like she had been spying on us and possibly mistook someone else for a fourth guest. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone – avoid it unless you want a similar unpleasant encounter.
