Hotel Emma is spotless, and the room was absolutely great. Having a private parking area is a big plus. But what truly makes this hotel stand out is the exceptional service and kindness of the staff. I had a bad experience with a Deliveroo order where the driver went to the wrong address and I never received my food. Although the hotel had nothing to do with it, the staff spent over 15 minutes on the phone with the delivery driver trying to help resolve the issue. When it became clear that we wouldn’t be getting any dinner, the hotel staff kindly offered us drinks and even prepared sandwiches for us, completely free of charge, despite it being quite late in the evening. Their generosity and willingness to help really made a difference in our stay. If you’re looking for spotless rooms and truly outstanding service, I 100% recommend Hotel Emma. The hotel offers basic but adequate accommodation, particularly suited for those attending events at the Bologna Fiera or looking for a budget-friendly option with convenient access to public transport. The room was clean and functional, equipped with the essentials for a comfortable stay. While the overall decor is somewhat dated, everything was well-maintained. The staff was courteous and check-in was smooth. However, during our stay, there was a noticeable unpleasant smell in the reception area, seemingly coming from the pipes or drainage system. While this did not affect the room itself, it did detract somewhat from the first impression upon arrival. In summary, it is a practical choice for short stays, with helpful staff and a convenient location, though some maintenance improvements—particularly in the common areas—would enhance the overall experience.

Rude and unfriendly staff. I absolutely do not recommend it. The address given is completely wrong (on booking.com) and they would not acknowledge their mistake and started yelling in Italian. The bathroom and the shower are incredibly small and there is no place to put the toiletries. AC does not work, no window... only a door that opens to the street, we felt unsafe for keeping it open while sleeping. There is only one bus (93) that passes by the hotel from the City Center and it only comes once per hour in the evenings. By far the worst stay I've had.
