Where to start. This was incredible. Natalie at the from desk was a super star, the sweetest and most welcoming host she made us feel completely at home. Room was freshly renovated, spacious and modern. Pool was beautiful and warm. We loved our experience and can’t wait to come back soon. Thank you Natalie!!

Located at 3 Government Road, Nelson Bay, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This is a wonderful hotel a hop, skip and a jump 😛 from downtown Nelson Bay. The rooms are beautiful. Immaculately clean with your own small kitchen and lounge area. The bathroom is also great except for the fact my room in particular only has a bath, no separate shower 🚿. You have to climb into the bath which has quite high sides. I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ if this is the case in every room. There are laundry facilities available but it cost $4.00. There is also a gym for customers to use, along with free WIFI. The swimming pool is wonderful with plenty of deck chairs and also BBQ facilities. There is plenty of parking 🅿️ our group came in buses so we had to park out front in the street. We were lucky to get spots directly out front. The lady at reception was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Helping to show members of our group to their room and eager to answer any questions. There is a small cafe/restaurant at front next to reception where you can get your breakfast or order room service. It’s called “The Little Nel”. It’s in a very convenient location as it’s just around the corner from the main street of Nelson Bay. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Nelson Bay. Thumbs up!! 👍👍👍

Stayed in the Deluxe One-Bedroom Apartment with Bay View - Spa Bath (room 21). On entry, the room looked a little dated but clean and inviting. After staying the night, there were some definite pros and cons. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, nice pool ( we had a swim even though the weather was overcast). The door in the fence leads straight to an arcade and shops, which is convenient. Staff were helpful and friendly. We were slightly disappointed with some of the room features, considering the price we paid. The couch is a futon which was extremely uncomfortable to sit on and the only other seating option was a single lounge chair which was equally uncomfortable. The rainwater shower that is advertised as a feature of the room, is directly over the spa. The problem with this is that there are no shower screens, curtains, etc, so when you shower, the water literally cascades over the side of the spa and onto the floor. The floor plan also means that if you are using the toilet in private, you need to shut both doors to the lounge and the bedroom and the other person can't access the bedroom until you finish. Minor things like no tissues in the tissue box and flat batteries in tv remote does not scream 4 star to us.
